Application of the ECOrinal® urinal strainer

 
1. Preparation:
Thoroughly clean the urinal before inserting the sieve – this is the only way to ensure optimal adhesion and full effectiveness.

2. Insert:
Place the sieve flat in the urinal – this ensures the best splash protection.
Note: A light film forms upon contact with water – this is normal and part of the biological dissolution process.

3. Cleaning & Renewal:
ECOrinal® works against urine and limescale with every flush.
Occasionally, simply clean the upper part of the urinal with a damp cloth. Important: Only use acidic cleaners on the rim of the bowl – alkaline products can damage the filter and disrupt the decomposition process.

Conventional urinal screens weigh approximately 60 grams. In Germany, there are over 262,744 facilities that have at least one urinal equipped with a urinal screen. This results in approximately 15.7 tons of plastic waste per month in Germany alone, generated exclusively from urinal screens. Recycling 2.75 tons of plastic produces around one ton of CO₂ emissions. Therefore, this amount of plastic generates an additional 5.7 tons of CO₂ per month – emissions that could be avoided by using ECOrinal.
