FIA Biomed Blood Glucose Meter Set 1

The FIA ​​Biomed ™ Precisa test strips are used together with the FIA ​​Biomed ™ Precisa blood glucose meter for quantitative blood glucose measurement with fresh capillary whole blood for self-monitoring.

The system is intended for in-vitro diagnosis at home or by medical professionals to monitor the effectiveness of diabetes control.

CHARACTERISTICS

The test strip is plasma-calibrated* and requires a blood sample volume of 0.8 μL, with a test duration of 5 seconds. The measuring range is between 10 and 600 mg/dL (0.6 and 33.3 mmol/L), and the resolution is 1 mg/dL (0.1 mmol/L). According to Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), the test results correspond to the blood glucose concentration in plasma. Therefore, although whole blood must always be applied to the test strip, the meter displays the blood glucose concentration as measured in plasma.

TEST PRINCIPLE

The glucose in the blood sample reacts with a special chemical in the test strip, generating a small electrical current. The amount of current varies depending on the blood glucose level. The blood glucose meter then measures the intensity of the electrical current and displays the results as blood glucose readings.
